Daniel Orozco is an associate at Wordstone Dispute Resolution in Paris.

He focuses on investment and international commercial arbitration, acting in proceedings conducted under a range of institutional rules, including the ICC, LCIA and ICSID Rules. His practice spans a broad range of sectors, including large infrastructure projects, energy and natural resources, pharmaceuticals and technology, with experience in disputes involving States, government authorities and State-owned entities.

Before joining Wordstone Dispute Resolution, Daniel worked at Jus Mundi in Paris, where he contributed to the development of Jus AI, an AI-powered legal research tool for international arbitration. Earlier in his career, Daniel worked at boutique law firms in Mexico City, where he advised federal and local government authorities, as well as private clients, on constitutional, regulatory and public law matters.

• Representing a State-owned Eastern European natural gas company in an ICC arbitration seated in Paris and governed by Swiss law, concerning claims arising out of long-term gas supply agreements.
• Representing a Turkish energy company in an LCIA arbitration seated in London and governed by English law, concerning rights and operations relating to a natural gas field in Colombia.
• Representing a North American investment fund in an ICC arbitration seated in New York and governed by New York law, arising out of the acquisition of a renewable-energy project portfolio in Northern Mexico.*
• Representing several Latin American subsidiaries of a major pharmaceutical company in ICC arbitrations seated in Paris and governed by Colombian law, arising out of an M&A transaction in Latin America.*
• Representing a US cloud and data-platform company in a JAMS arbitration seated in New York and governed by New York law, arising out of an agreement for the development of gaming arenas in the United Kingdom.*
