Partner José-Manuel García Represa has authored a chapter in the International Chamber of Commerce’s book ‘Navigating the New Contents of International Public Policy’ discussing the effectiveness of compliance in environment and human rights-appropriate reparations.

In José-Manuel’s chapter, titled ‘Effectiveness of compliance in environment and human rights-appropriate reparations: corrective actions, affectation of proceeds and rehabilitation over time’, he discusses the role of international arbitration for reparations in the future, affectation or earmarking of proceeds to environmental restoration objectives.

Examining the challenges of ascertaining appropriate reparations of environmental harm through international arbitration proceedings, José-Manuel provides expert insight that explores significant cases and theory in the field.

The ICC’s ‘Navigating the New Contents of International Public Policy’ examines how compliance with environment and human rights requirements may trigger legal responses based on the various concepts of international public policy.
